Child, 8, Injured in Campti ATV Accident at Allen Street and Lake Street

Campti, LA. – An 8-year-old child was injured in a crash involving an ATV on Friday afternoon at an intersection in Campti.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 3:13 p.m. at the intersection of Allen and Lake streets.

An 8-year-old was driving a 2024 Yamaha Grizzly ATV on Allen Street when he collided with a 2016 Ford Mustang that was traveling west on Lake Street.

The juvenile was ejected from the ATV and was transported by Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS to a north Louisiana trauma center for treatment of moderate, non-life-threatening injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
