Man Killed in Aiken County ATV Accident on Old Shoals Road

Aiken County, S.C. – A man was killed in an ATV accident on Thursday afternoon near Monetta in Aiken County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. around 2:30 p.m. on Old Shoals Road.

The 28-year-old was riding an ATV traveling south on Old Shoals Road when he lost control and it overturned.

The man was airlifted to Wellstar MCG where he died while receiving treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
