Portal, GA. – A 48-year-old man died in an ATV accident on Saturday evening near Portal.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened around 5:50 p.m. on Rock Hill Road.

The man was riding a four-wheeler and was trying to round a curve when he lost control.

The Jenkins County man was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, who worked as a nurse for Kaiser Permanente, died in the accident.
