Rider Killed in Humboldt County ATV Crash on Alderpoint Road
Alderpoint, California – A 76-year-old man died in an ATV Accident that happened near Alderpoint in Humboldt County on January 19, 2023.
At approximately 1:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of an ATV crash on private property north of Alderpoint Road.
The man was riding his 2013 Polaris Ranger on the property when he lost control in unclear circumstances and rolled down an embankment.
The man was ejected and the quad came to rest on top of him.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several agencies including the CHP. Cal Fire, Alderpoint Fire Department and the City Ambulance of Eureka responded to the incident.
The incident is under investigation.
