Maureen Gagne Dies in Mendocino County ATV Accident near Young Creek Road at McNab Ranch
Mendocino County, California – A Napa woman was killed in an ATV accident on Saturday night near Ukiah in Mendocino County.
The fatal crash happened at around 4:35 p.m. near Young Creek Road in the McNab Ranch area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
54-year-old Maureen Gagne was driving a 2013 Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV on a private trail with two passengers when the ATV began to tip over.
Maureen exited the vehicle to stop it from toppling, but the ATV fell on top of her.
Gagne’s 33-year-old daughter was able to extricate her from under the vehicle.
Sadly, the Napa woman died while being airlifted to the hospital.
Gagne’s daughter and a 2-year-old girl were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
