Dillon, S.C. – One person was killed in an ATV accident on Thursday night in Dillon County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Old Hamer Road near Timberlake Drive around 9:00 p.m.
A 2024 ATV Polaris sportsman was traveling southbound on Old Hamer when he crashed in unclear circumstances.
The ATV operator and a passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
The passenger was transported to the hospital where they later died.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
