1 Killed in Longville ATV Accident at Blackwater Lake
Longville, MN. – An 18-year-old died when an ATV he was riding broke through ice on a frozen lake in rural Minnesota.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 1 p.m. at Blackwater Lake.
An ATV with two people on it went through the ice, and both riders went in the water.
Emergency teams were able to rescue a 20-year-old man from the water who was airlifted to a hospital in St. Cloud.
The body of the 18-year-old rider was pulled from the lake the next day around 1 p.m.
The names of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
