2 Men Killed in Trinity County ATV Accident on Forest Service Road
Trinity County, CA. – Two men died in a crash involving an ATV near Hayfork in Trinity County on Saturday, September 21.
According to the CHP, the double fatal crash happened around 12:44 p.m. on Forest Service Road, north of Carr Creek Road.
Two men were riding a quad eastbound on Forest Service Road when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rolled down an embankment where it crashed into a tree.
Michael Cagnina, 65, of Vacaville, died at the accident scene
The second rider, 47-year-old Bobby Jones, also from Vacaville, was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the medical personnel.
CHP does not believe drugs and alcohol were factors in the collision.
