Boy Injured in Kings County ATV Accident Gale Avenue and 28th Avenue
Kings County, California – A 12-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a car while riding an ATV on Friday night in Kings County.
The accident happened near Gale and 28th avenues near the Avenal Cutoff Road at around 7 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol says the boy was riding an off-road vehicle and was crossing Gale Avenue when he was struck by a Chevy truck.
The driver of the pickup truck allegedly hit the brakes but was unable to stop in time.
The boy was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
