Boy Riding ATV Hit, Killed by Truck on West Riggin Avenue in Visalia
Visalia, California – A child riding an ATV was struck and killed by a truck last month in Visalia, authorities reported.
According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon on April 16 on West Riggin Avenue.
Police said a boy was riding an ATV when a Chevrolet truck hit the quad in unclear circumstances.
The truck veered off the roadway and into the orchards after the collision.
The crash left deep tire marks and knocked-over trees.
First responders pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be contributing factors.
