Rochester, NY. – A firefighter died in an ATV accident in the hamlet of Arkville in the Town of Hardenburgh on Saturday afternoon.
According to the New York State Police, the accident happened on Dry Brook Road.
The Rochester Fire Department firefighter was riding an ATV when he lost control, left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The 55-year-old man was transported to Margaritaville Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
