Man, 46, Killed in Graniteville ATV Accident at Ascauga Lake Road and Breezy Hill Road
Graniteville, S.C. – A 46-year-old man was killed in an ATV accident on Halloween morning near Graniteville in Aiken County.
The fatal crash happened around 7:13 a.m. on October 31, in the area of Ascauga Lake Road and Breezy Hill Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Authorities say a Chevrolet van was traveling south on Ascauga Lake Road when it collided with a four-wheeler traveling west across the intersection.
The rider, a resident of Graniteville, was trapped underneath the ATV.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s office.
The collision caused the closure of both lanes of Breezy Hill Road for about an hour.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
