Man Injured in Barrington ATV Accident on West Route 22
McHenry County, IL. – A 50-year-old man was seriously injured in an ATV accident that happened near Barrington on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 1 p.m. in the 26800 block of West Route 22.
The man was riding a Polaris 1000 ATV in the area when he crashed.
The rider, a 50-year-old McHenry man, was thrown off of the back of the ATV and part of the ATV landed on his face.
The man was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
