Man Killed in Town of Scott ATV Accident on Scott Road near Heldt Street
Town of Scott, WI. – A man died and another was injured in a crash involving an ATV last week Wednesday in the Town of Scott.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 2 a.m. on Scott Road, south of Heldt Street.
An ATV with two occupants was southbound on Scott Road when the operator lost control, entered the ditch, and rolled over.
The operator, a 32-year-old resident of Merrill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ATV passenger, a 40-year-old man, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The Merrill Fire Department, the Merrill Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
